INTRODUCTION

The CTT-DET maintains constant tension from .5 grams to 700 grams and is designed to simulate yarn stresses encountered during manufacturing. It determines optimum process tension to eliminate breakouts, reduce raw material costs, and minimize production downtime. The fact that all processes include friction makes this testing capability vital since it is the only instrument that can test for break strength including the effect of frictional contact of machine components.

Operation

Simulates process effects of weaving or knitting and performs dynamic testing at 20 km/hr.
