The new EIB-ACE uses the latest optical technology to analyze entanglements in filament yarns. Using Lawson-Hemphill's patented technology, the high-resolution camera and software map the imperfections in a yarn. Three software packages are included.
The CCD camera captures and records the actual profile of running yarns. The profiles can be viewed and events (such as entanglements, balloons and tight spots) can be analyzed. The images can be compared to saved images of other yarns.
Up to 1,000 successive packages in 8 hours can be tested. It is the only software that detects sections of missing entanglements. The software provides complete statistical output including limits, summary printout and histograms.
Long sections of entangled yarn can be viewed and analyzed. Event size thresholds can be set which allows unentangled, entangled or tight spot areas to be grouped by length and a fabric simulation shown to view their distribution.
