Lawson-Hemphill showcased the CTT- Constant Tension Transport. This instrument traveled over 4,000 miles in Turkey visiting customers and textile mills. It was a great opportunity for Lawson-Hemphill to demonstrate the CTT in Turkey, where the instrument had not been previously showcased.
The CTT was displayed during the 11th International Izmir Textile and Apparel Symposium, which was organized by Ege University, the biggest university in the western part of Turkey.
Filiz Avsar, a Lawson-Hemphill Textile engineer presented a scientific paper on the Barre effect by using the CTT during a seminar was sponsored by the Mechanical and Textile Engineers Association in Gaziantep Turkey October 17-20, 2007. In this seminar, the CTT was shown for the yarn producing companies in the Southeastern region of Turkey. This region supplies nearly 30% of all the cotton yarns that are being used for export and domestic markets.
